A LITTLE MORE THAN NATURAL

I hope to soon start posting make up tutorials, but until I get that set up I have found a way to let you see some of my looks and the make up that I use for them. The look I am posting today is one I used to go shopping on Newbury Street  in Boston. It is natural but with a little more exaggerated eye shadow. It is just the perfect look to go shopping or for a day out in the city.

My favorite and most recent purchase has to be my Naked2 palette from urban decay. It has every color you need, from basics to darks for smokey eye looks. The two colors I used for this look are bootycall (third from the left) and snakebite (sixth from the left). I used bootycall on the whole eye lid and snakebite mostly around the edges and blended at the corners a little.
The foundation I used was the L'oreal magic nude liquid powder (only use for day) in nude beige. Before applying the foundation I used the Smashbox primer, which is the small tube next to the sugar chapstick.
Right under my cheek bones I used Victoria Secret's Silky Bronzing Powder and then right on top of my cheek bones I used the NYX palette butt "naked" eyes. The pink blush thats third from the left made this look with the bronzing sort of pop.
Right above the blush, not to close to my eye, I used the MAC Prep and Prime Highlight Light Boost (next to the bronzing powder), which gives your cheeks a nice soft glow.
For mascara I used the MAC gel mascara which I strongly recommend and have mentioned in my previous post. It is so thick that you do not need to dunk the mascara back into the bottle for the other eye (next to HIghlighter).
To fill in my eyebrows I used the MAC eyeshadow in Cork.
For my lips I just used a simple Sugar chapstick from Sephora.
To finish this look off I definitely recommend the MAC Prep and Prime Finishing Powder, which keeps all your make up intact for the whole day.

What's in your make-up bag?

There are a few essential products to have with you just in case of makeup emergencies or when you get that feeling that you need to go to the powder room and spruce up a bit. If I could I would keep all my make up with me, but of course that is definitely not an option since it is excessive and keeping makeup in the car is not the brightest of ideas, especially when you live in a place that gets as hot as 100 degrees. Now lets take a sneak peak into my beauty products:

The Sugar Lip Treatment from Sephora is one of the best chapsticks that I have ever used. It's especially good at protecting those luscious lips from the freezing cold, which I discovered when I used it in Boston.
Naturally Chic lipstick from Milani is my go to lipstick for everyday use. It is natural and gives that small edge to your outfit.
Best Red by Milani of course is a classic. A girl should always carry some red lipstick around with her just in case. You never know when you'll need to dress up an outfit.
Maybelline black liquid eyeline: I have been using this liquid eyeliner since i started using liquid and it hasn't disappointed me yet.
Covergirl 3 shade blush: I have to say the three colors on this blush blend perfectly together to give that perfect rosy look.
L'oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder: I definitely recommend this foundation because it covers everything perfectly and you don't end up with a greasy looking face. However, I only recommend this foundation for use during the day because at night, while taking pictures (with flash) you will come out pale.
The Colossal Volume Mascara: I am disappointed in this product because it does clump sometimes, but I have had it for a while and I am starting to get the hang of it. I will recommend this gel MAC mascara that I recently purchased and will post details of it soon.
Maybelline Concealer: I have a problem with dark circles around my eyes therefore I have to conceal on top of Foundation. I do recommend this concealer, it covers my circles way better then I thought it would.
