My first fashion post woo!
:D
:D
I wanted to start off with my recent trip to Boston visiting my boyfriend of 3 years, Max. As a Miamian, I don't know what seasons are. We have two temperatures here: hot and hotter. When it came to packing, I didn't know where to start. I may love fashion but when it comes to the cold, layering is just not my thing. I usually over-pack just in case I change my mind about an outfit, but unfortunately this time around I did not have that luxury. I was flying Spirit Airlines so I had a 40 pound limit on my checked-in bag, and no carry on! I had to perfectly plan out my outfits for each day and limit myself to only a few pairs of shoes. I finished packing, and strategically ironed my hair so it would be straight for the first day or so of the trip.
My first outfit was a pink collared long sleeve with a Ralph Lauren white sweater with these amazingly cute gold buttons and a red coat from jcpenny that I got on sale! Coats are usually pretty pricey and of course, living in Miami, I had none, so i went bargain shopping and found two that I now love. On the bottom I wore a pair of Lucky Brand jeans, Forever 21 grey knee high socks, and my beautiful Etienne Aigner boots from Macy's. On the second day, I curled my hair. For christmas I got this amazing 1.5 inch Sultra curling iron and it works incredibly. It only takes me about 20 minutes, which for my long hair is a very little amount of time. Anyways, back to my outfit. I wore a grey dress from Forever 21, a brown cardigan with black buttons also from forever 21, an awesome green coat with leather arms from Macy's (on sale of course), and brown infinity scarf. I also stole my boyfriends black and gold striped beanie by Obey (the one I made him buy last time I was here) to bring it all together. On the bottom, I wore these extremely comfortable black leggings that are actually perfect for the winter. They are lined with fleece and I also have them in a red. I can even wear them in Miami because somehow they don't get hot either. Best of both worlds I guess.
I was supposed to go shopping while I was there but of course, all the layering and unlayering doesn't help the whole fitting room process. For that reason, I do not think I could ever live in the cold, but a short stay I don't mind. I had to visit Newbury Street and the Prudential Center whether or not I planned on buying anything. I just love to admire all the stores that we don't have back home. Max took me to some of my favorite places. The Boston Common, which is a beautiful park where we planned to go ice skating on the pond, but it was just so cold that we opted out for a little Starbucks. We then went to the North End, an italian neighborhood with tons of restaurants where Max had made a reservation for dinner. And for dessert of course we had to buy canolis from Mike's Pastry. I have heard that the better ones are from Modern Pastry, but Mike's has my favorite flavor, the Florentine.

It was a great trip. I can't wait to go back.
